‘Avengers 2: Age of Ultron’ Rumors, News: Pee-Wee Herman Dubs Trailer, Guest Star on 'Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon'
Paul Reubens, also known as Pee-wee Herman, talked about a hilarious impersonation of some of the Avengers superheroes by dubbing the trailer of the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' recently on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon'.
Pee-Wee Herman guest starred on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' last Wednesday night to promote the launch of the DVD box set of his highly acclaimed Saturday morning kids show, 'Pee-wee's Playhouse' that aired on CBS from 1986-1991.
'Pee-wee's Playhouse' paved the way for two movies, 'Pee-wee's Big Adventure' which debuted in 1985 and 'Big Top Pee-wee' which premiered in 1988.
On a side note, Pee-Wee fans can recall the scandal Reubens was involved in back in 1991; a scandal that forced the actor to abandon the man-child character temporarily.
However, Reubens has returned to the role and confirmed that there will be a new Pee-Wee movie which will be produced by Judd Apatow and that filming will start in February. Regardless, he did not disclose the director of the film, prompting Fallon to ask anyway, "Is it Steven Spielberg?"
"Steven Spielberg!" Reubens replied while shaking his head.
Later on in the interview, Fallon was talking about him doing impression of Pee-wee Herman (and actually get paid for doing it), to which Pee-wee Herman said "you do it better than me-they're considering you to play Pee-Wee in the movie," the voice actor jokingly said.
Fallon then asked the legit Pee-wee Herman to voice out one of the popular videos today, the official trailer of the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron'.
On that note, the official trailer of the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' film was just released a few days ago and it garnered 51 million views and counting.
However, the video of the Pee-wee version of the trailer was "downright hilarious," CNET reports
It took away the creepy vibe the original trailer had, and replaced with Pee-wee's signature high-pitched screams and squeaky voice, The Hulk sounded giddy-even the theme song was not spared, Reubens put his own touch to it by adding happy "la la la's" at the end of the trailer.
Pee-wee has previously voiced other well known action films like 'World War Z' and 'The Dark Knight Rises' in quite a silly way.
