Avengers 2 Age of Ultron Release Date, Cast News: Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson Star as Magneto's Children Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver

The Avengers 2 will be released next year, and will see the all star cast of super heroes assemble again to battle a brand new threat: Ultron. Marvel Studios set the comic book world on fire when they released "The Avengers" in movie theaters back two years ago, and fans are expected to go crazy again for the sequel when it is released in May 2015.

In that first movie Iron Man joined forces with the Incredible Hulk, Captain America, Hawkeye, Black Widow, and many other Marvel superheroes for the first time ever in movie history.

In an interview last month, film actor Robert Downey Jr (who plays Tony Stark and Iron Man) revealed some secrets regarding the upcoming sequel to the Avengers movie. Downey Jr hinted about Hawkeye's future in the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" movie.

"This one is a very ambitious sequel. If you read it, it's dense, it's smart. Joss (Whedon) is a really smart guy. My 2-year-old is crazy about Hawkeye, and I think Jeremy (Renner) has a lot to do with the plot. There's always so many plates to spin to get these things half-right, and I'm really excited about this one," said Downey Jr to Variety in March.

In the upcoming film, actors Elizabeth Olsen and Aaron Taylor-Johnson will join the film's cast as (X-Men's greatest arch nemesis) Magneto's children Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver respectively.

In addition, The Vision (played by Paul Bettany) will finally join forces with the Avengers when they protect Earth from Ultron, a robot focused on taking over the world.

Ultron will be played by actor James Spader of "Boston Legal," "Pretty in Pink" and "The Blacklist" fame.

"I knew right away what I wanted to do with him," said Joss Whedon in an interview with Entertainment Weekly in August 2013.

"He's always trying to destroy the Avengers, god*** it, he's got a bee in his bonnet. He's not a happy guy, which means he's an interesting guy. He's got pain. And the way that manifests is not going to be standard robot stuff. So we'll take away some of those powers because at some point everybody becomes magic, and I already have someone (a new character, Scarlet Witch) who's a witch."

Robert Downey Jr will return as Iron Man to lead the all-star roster against Ultron.

Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Chris Evans (Captain America), and Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow) are among the numerous actors set to reprise their role when the smash hit returns to the big screen on May 1, 2015.
