Avengers 2 Age of Ultron Movie Plot, Cast News: Marvel President Reveals Spoilers Regarding Quicksilver (VIDEO)

In a new interview, Marvel President Kevin Feige revealed major spoilers regarding the differences between Quicksilver in X-Men: Days of Future Past and the new version in the upcoming Avengers: Age of Ultron.

"We are very much playing up two things that [Days of Future Past doesn't] play with: one is his relationship with his twin sister, Wanda (aka the Scarlett Witch, played by Elizabeth Olsen); the other is his backstory as an Eastern European child of a war-torn country. And we follow him throughout the whole movie - him and Wanda - as it relates to their feelings about the Avengers and how that shifts and changes over the course of the movie," said Feige to IGN.

"So it's a very different thing than coming out from one unbelievably awesome showcase sequence of the movie, and much more interwoven throughout the entire movie," he continued.

In the aforementioned X-Men film, Magneto's son Peter (Pietro) Maximoff aka Quicksilver was portrayed as an American kid in the 1970's (played by Evan Peters), instead the traditional Eastern European version (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson) that will appear in the future film.

Taylor-Johnson made his debut as the mutant who has super speed in the Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which starred Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, Samuel L. Jackson and Anthony Mackie, Robert Redford and Cobie Smulders.

Feige also talked about the similarities between both versions of the X-Factor member.

"There may be some things that look [like they did in Days of Future Past], because he runs really fast, and time slows down if you want to be in his perspective while he's running fast," said Feige.

Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Incredible Hulk), James Spader (Ultron), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlett Witch), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) are among the numerous actors set to appear in the movie when the blockbuster series returns on May 1, 2015.
