‘Avengers 2: Age of Ultron’ Movie, 'X-Men: Days of Future Past' Spoilers: Comparisons Dismissed by Director
With the current hype of X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer appealed to fans and critics to stop making comparisons about his film and Avengers 2: Age of Ultron. The 48-year-old director clarified that both films have an entirely different universe and have gained popularity due to its characters and storylines. Meanwhile, Avengers 2 will be featuring three sets of costumes for Ultron and other characters - Hulk, Black Widow, and Hawkeye.
In an interview with Sci Fi Magazine, Singer emphasized that X-Men and Avengers are unique in their own respect brought by the individualities of each characters.
"[They're] very different universes. The appeal is different and to try and do the same thing. This in an 'inbetweequel' of two ensemble films, Avengers and the Marvel movies are individual franchises based on major characters that's why there are some Marvel characters in Avengers that don't have their own movie, because I don't know if they had their own movie anyone would be that interested," Singer elaborated.
Meanwhile, spoilers from Avengers 2 reveal that Ultron will have three versions of the character bearing different costumes.
A source cited by JoBlo said, "His original state is very rudimentary, but as he does in the comics, Ultron is constantly upgrading. He is coated in Vibranium and spends the film seeking out more of the raw material to continue his 'upgrades."
Hulk will also have an upgrade on his costume featuring a pair of pants that follows through when he shrinks or grows. Black Widow carries a baton with the power to shock people, while Hawkeye's costume is similar to that of the comic's version.
Avengers 2: Age of Ultron will be released in theaters May 1, 2015.
