Avengers 2 Age of Ultron Movie Cast, Plot News: James Spader's Ultron Origin Story Exposed in New Interview (VIDEO)

In a new interview, the cast and crew from the 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' revealed what fans can expect when the Marvel Superheroes battle Ultron in the upcoming film.

"Ultron sees the big picture and he goes, 'Okay, we need radical change, which will be violent and appalling, in order to make everything better'; he's not just going 'Muhaha, soon I'll rule!'" said film director Joss Whedon to Entertainment Weekly.

The creator of 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', 'Angel' and 'Firefly' further describes the new villain's motives after he was created by billionaire Tony Stark, when the businessman decides he no longer wants to be Iron Man in the sequel to the original Avengers film.

"[Ultron is] on a mission," said Whedon, in reference to the new adversary's warped views on reality, "He wants to save us."

Robert Downey Jr explained why his character built the Ultron and an army of robots after the fall of the secret organization S.H.I.E.L.D. in the future film.

"What you said about abdication is apt, but I think it's also about recognizing limitations," said Downey Jr, "The downside of self-sacrifice is that if you make it back, you've been out there on the spit and you've been turned a couple times and you feel a little burned and traumatized."

Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Incredible Hulk), James Spader (Ultron), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlett Witch), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) are among the numerous actors set to appear in the movie when the blockbuster series returns on May 1, 2015.

The newest issue of Entertainment Weekly featuring 'Avengers: Age of Ultron' stars Downey Jr, Evans, and Ultron will arrive in stores on July 18.
