Avengers 2 Age of Ultron Movie Cast News: Robert Downey Jr Finishes Iron Man Scenes, Possible Death Coming

Avengers 2: Age of Ultron actor Robert Downey Jr. recently posted on social media revealing that he is done shooting his scenes as Iron Man/Tony Stark which has some people thinking his character might be killed in the future film based on the popular Marvel Comics.

"I've been unemployed for 2 days and require excitement. Time to tweet! Check in tomorrow--my followers get 1st dibs," wrote Downey Jr. on his Twitter account last month.

If that rumor is accurate, then the reports that claim Colin Farrell possibly replacing the 49-year-old second generation actor in the potential Iron Man 4 film could also be true.

Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige has this to say on Robert Downey Jr's absence, "I believe there will be a fourth Iron Man film and a fifth and a sixth and a 10th and a 20th. I see no reason why Tony Stark can't be as evergreen as James Bond, or Batman for that matter, or Spider-Man. I think Iron Man is a character just like that," said Feige to Entertainment Weekly in a discussion.

Downey's co-star Mark Ruffalo revealed in a new interview that fans can expect to see more screen time between his character (The Incredible Hulk) and Downey's Iron Man character in the Avengers 2: Age of Ultron movie.

"It's, oddly enough, a much bigger movie than Avengers 1 was. It's a little bit darker. It's...we get a lot deeper into the character now, since we established them in the first one, so we get to cover a lot more ground. Ultron's incredible. There's more stuff with Banner and Tony Stark, more "Science Bros" stuff. And it's pretty sweeping, it's pretty epic," said Ruffalo to Total Film.

Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Samuel L. Jackson (Nick Fury), Scarlett Johansson (Black Widow), Chris Evans (Captain America), Mark Ruffalo (Incredible Hulk), James Spader (Ultron), Elizabeth Olsen (Scarlett Witch), Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Quicksilver), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Chris Hemsworth (Thor) are among the numerous actors set to appear in the movie when the blockbuster series returns on May 1, 2015.
