Author David Teems' Tyndale Biography Hailed by England's Tyndale Society

Thomas Nelson author David Teems recently received high praise when the England's scholarly Tyndale Society reviewed his critically acclaimed biography, Tyndale: The Man Who Gave God An English Voice. The review, which appeared in the latest edition of The Tyndale Society Journal, extolled Teems for his original approach to William Tyndale as a man.

"Teems concentrates not on what was important to Tyndale's peers and contemporaries, nor yet to his more modern biographers, but on what was important to William Tyndale himself," writes reviewer Dr. William Cooper.

Cooper praises Teems for his wise use of authoritative source material and his concise, pithy style of writing, but was most impressed with Teems' bold approach to Tyndale's spiritual side.

"It is an unfashionable thing today to speak of spiritual matters in any biography, but Teems, rightly, is not afraid to do so," Cooper writes, concluding that, "...Teems' biography will refresh many people's thinking concerning the unique and remarkable man, William Tyndale."

Teems is no stranger to accolades for his scholarly, yet remarkable, biographies. 100 Huntley Street host Jim Cantelon called his biography, Majestie: The King Behind the King James Bible, "...one of the best written books I've ever read."

With thoughtful clarity and a reverence that comes through on every page, Teems shares a story of intrigue and atrocity, betrayal and perseverance. This book shines a light on how the Reformation officially reached English shores - and what it cost the men who brought it there. Tyndale: The Man Who Gave God An English Voice was released by Thomas Nelson in January 2012.
