The inspirational singer with an angelic voice Audrey Assad invited her fans and friends to support her and her husband Billy to compensate the cost of Billy's cancer treatments through http://audreyassad.tumblr.com/post/24896355960/the-cancer-year.

Assad's husband Billy was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma last year and finished six months of treatments. After the treatments, there is no evidence in Billy's body anymore. The couple would like to balance the cost of the treatments and therefore released the EP titled The Cancer Year, which includes songs by Audrey, Erin Gauvin, Matt Maher, and A Wild Wood.

On February 19th 2011, I married my beautiful wife, Audrey-she was born in July, which makes her a Cancer. Less than a week later, while we were on our honeymoon, I developed a cough. Shortly after, I learned that the cough was caused by Hodgkin's lymphoma, which is a blood cancer. Chemotherapy followed and on February 6, 2012, I was told I had "No Evidence of Disease."
