The Auburn Tigers (6-1) are looking to extend their current winning streak to two games when they encounter their fellow SEC West divisional opponents the Ole Miss Rebels this Saturday.
Auburn recently defeated their SEC West rivals, the South Carolina Gamecocks, by a final score of 42-35, after Auburn QB Nick Marshall went 12-14 for 139 yards, highlighted by a touchdown pass.
"Coming into the game, we knew it was going to be a shootout," said Marshall to reporters.
"We knew we were going to get South Carolina's best effort on the defensive and offensive side."
Tigers head coach Gus Malzahn also talked about the difficulties he might face trying to stop Rebels QB Bo Wallace and the rest of the Ole Miss squad in the imminent matchup.
"We've got to go there and we've got to play well to win," said Malzahn to reporters.
"That's the only thing on our mind. We aren't looking ahead to this and that. We are going to Ole Miss and we are trying to win the game."
Meanwhile, the Rebels (7-1) are looking to prevent a possible two game losing streak after their previous undefeated streak was snapped by their fellow SEC West adversary the LSU Tigers by 10-7 on October 25.
"Hopefully we can be more aggressive this week, but I'm going to run the plays that are called," said Wallace to reporters, "That's all I can do."
The game will begin at 7:00 pm ET and can be watched on TV via the ESPN network or online through live stream by clicking here.
