'Attack On Titan' Season 2 Release Date: Rumors Suggest New Episodes Will Arrive 2015
Rumors and speculations regarding the release date of the 'Attack On Titan' Season 2 continues to flood the Internet, as neither Wit Studios nor Kodansha Comics have confirmed nor denied the existence of the second season of the popular anime series. This has, in fact, left the fans anxious to know the truth.
'Attack On Titan' is based on the manga, which happens to be the heart of the hit series. It is rumored that 'Attack On Titan' volume 15 will be released in December 2014, and if this is true, Wit Studio will soon be starting production and this makes an April 2015 release date a sensible presumption.
A report by IDigital Times claims that the first season of the series includes eight and a half volumes. In case Wit Studios also sticks with it, they will surely be having sufficient material for the upcoming season as well as the next. In fact, in such a situation, the possibilities for a third too cannot be ruled out. According to the website, the purported third season may possibly be released in 2018.
Nevertheless, it is worth noting that the creator of the hit manga Hajime Isayama has yet to confirm anything in this regard. There are rumors saying that currently Isayama is planning to work on 20 volumes, rather than 16. In addition, it has been reported that volume 14 is slated for release in the United States as early as Nov. 14.
As things stands now, fans of 'Attack on Titan' can look forward to the second season being possibly released in mid-2015 at the earliest. Many fans may think that waiting for so long is actually taking on a grueling task; here is some news that will make them wait more patiently for a better reward.
According to latest reports, an 'Attack on Titan' project is in the works and it involves an ambitious crossover with the Marvel Comics universe. The reports claim that the titans are ready for a surprise victory over Spidey's world.
Recently, a post by C. B. Cebulski, Marvel talent scout, on Twitter teased everyone saying, "Not a joke, folks. Attack on Titan and the @Marvel universe are crossing over! In 2 weeks. In Japan. Want a teaser?"
In addition, fans should watch out for a two-part live-action movie. The first movie titled 'Crimson Bow and Arrow' is slated for Nov. 22 release and it will include the first 13 episodes from the first season. The second movie titled 'Wings Of Freedom' will start from the 14th episode and is scheduled to be released sometime in 2015.
Before concluding, it needs to be mentioned that a prequel titled 'No Regrets' is all set for a Dec. 9 premiere in Japan. In addition to narrating the story of a ruffian Levi prior to earning his noble title as the world's strongest soldier, 'No Regrets' will recount the trails of Commander Erwin's toward the events that led him to become what he is today. As the spin-off will end by Apr. 9 next year, fans can expect that the end will be followed by the advent of 'Attack on Titan' Season 2 right away.
