'Attack on Titan' Season 2 Release Date News: Wit Studios to Compile TV Episodes into Two Full-Length Films

Despite the disappointing news from Otaku House that 'Attack on Titan' Season 2 is set for a July 2015 premiere, fans of this anime series are quite upbeat. In fact, Wit Studios has announced that they will not be making 'Attack on Titan' Season 2 until they complete the Volumes 15 and 16 of the manga series.

Nevertheless, there is some good news for 'Attack on Titan' fans, as the official website of the series Shingeki.tv has confirmed that the producers are currently compiling the entire episodes of the anime 'Attack on Titan' into two separate full-length feature films.

According to latest reports, the project is being adopted by Japanese anime studio Pony Canyon, which intends to focus on the vital aspects of the story and remove all fillers.

On Saturday, Pony Canyon released a trailer for the first film compilation via Anime News Network and it comes with the title 'Attack on Titan Part 1: Crimson Bow and Arrow', which will cover episodes 1 through 13. This anime film will be available in Japan on Nov. 22.

The second film has been titled 'Attack on Titan Part II: Wings of Freedom' and will cover episodes 14 and 25. It will hit the theaters sometime next year.

Meanwhile, the anime website has also hinted that the film will feature a Training Corps scene of Eren Yeager and Jean, which was never seen before.

Tickets for the theatrical release will be available in advance from Sept. 13. People purchasing tickets within the sales period will receive 'Attack on Titan' collectibles, such as rubber straps with illustrations of Eren, both in his normal, as well as Titan form.

In addition, voice cast members Yuuki Kaji (Eren Yeager), Yui Ishikawa (Mikasa Ackerman), and Marina Inoue (Armin Arlelt), will also return for their dubbing roles, the site said.

Wit Studios will also be releasing a prequel spin-off, which will be titled 'Attack on Titan: No Regrets, Birth of Levi' which will air in December 2014, with a view to fill the time in-between Season 1 and 2.
