Assassin's Creed Unity Release Date October 2014: Collector's Edition Pre-Order Details
Assassin's Creed 5: Unity will be Ubisoft's latest installment in the hit Assassin's Creed franchise.
The game company announced, during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) a few weeks ago, that the new title would be hitting store shelves this year on October 28.
Ubisoft has also confirmed that they will be releasing the game on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC simultaneously. People can already pre-order a copy of the game in two ways. The first option is a normal pre-order that comes with the game, available in October, along with a bonus single-player mission that has been added.
The second option is an Assassin's Creed Unity Collector's Edition, which comes with the game, a figure of the new assassin (Arno) atop a gargoyle, a music box that plays a remixed version of the game's official soundtrack, an official game art book, a collector's game box, and two extra in-game missions.
The Assassin's Creed franchise allows gamers to play as an assassin during a specific time or era. The first game was set during the time of the Third Crusade and lets people play as the assassin Altair.
The seventh game in the franchise, Unity, was first announced by Ubisoft in March 2014 and is set during the French Revolution. The game introduces a new assassin named Arno Dorian to players of the series.
"A new assassin, a new era. Assassin's Creed Unity has been built from the ground up as a next-gen game, offering a new way to experience the venerated franchise. Set during the French Revolution, Assassin's Creed Unity unfolds during a time of unimaginable terror and unprecedented turbulence - the perfect backdrop for the ongoing battle between the Assassins and the Templars," Ubisoft said on its blog.
