Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag currently has a special multiplayer event happening right now until 2:59 AM EST on Monday Jan. 20.

Ubisoft Montreal, the game's developer, is running the event which is called, "Uncertain Alliances" and is using PS3 and PS4 players to work together.

"Individual Goal: Earn a Focus Bonus (15 times)
Individual Reward: 1 Patron Picture for each playable character
Participation Goal: Complete a session in the event playlist
Participation Reward: Achieve the title 'The Opportunist'" Ubisoft posted as rewards for playing.

During the Uncertain Alliances event, XP will be doubled for the whole weekend.

"We are happy to announce to our Playstation AC4 community that a very special weekend is awaiting them on Assassin's Creed Black Flag's Multiplayer starting on 1/17 - 1/19.

First, a special event is coming: For "Uncertain Alliances", you will have to work as a team in order to hunt down the other team or to hide from your pursuers. During the whole event, you'll be provided with objectives to complete. Each of these objectives will unlock exclusive content (you will find a list of objectives and rewards below).

Secondly, we are giving away to all PS3 and PS4 players a 100% XP bonus. You will double the amount of experience points you would normally get!" PlayStation posted on their blog.
