'Assassin's Creed Unity' New Gameplay Trailer Video Released: Anvil Engine In Action

Ubisoft is known for releasing mulitple trailers for their games, and the trend seems to remain unchanged as a new 'Assassin's Creed: Unity' trailer has just been released.

This time around, fans and gamers of the series will be able to see the newly incorporated game engine, Anvil. As the trailer video revolves around showing viewers the inner workings of the new engine, at the same time it shows what the title's gameplay will look like.

Viewers of the trailer will get a sense that the developers have agreed that Ubisoft's Anvil engine is the best yet. The voice-over in the trailer is rather convincing as it mentions "improved control mechanics" and "better AI."

The city of Paris is also shown in the trailer which looks like a suitable place for the protagonist, Arno. Parts of the video show the hero scaling the walls and climbing in through the windows, while other scenes imply that the developers will again resort to using volumetric fog during dramatic sequences.

This video and others like it show much promise for the upcoming title that is slated to release sometime late October of this year. However, fans should be wary as many of Ubisoft's promises have fallen through in the past.

Gamers should remain hopeful that the next installment in the Assassin's Creed saga will be as good as its previous titles.
