‘Assassin's Creed’ 5 Unity Release Date: Gameplay Trailer Features Multiplayer Collaboration
Ubisoft has just announced the release of gameplay trailers for Assassin's Creed: Unity, which feature new multiplayer collaboration capability. During E3's media briefing, senior producer Vincent Pointbriant said that Unity is the first game franchise to use such gaming mode.
Assassin's Creed 5 is set in revolutionary France and is said to feature vehicles that are used in Black Flag. Ubisoft's flagship title will be released exclusively for Xbox One, PS4 and PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 sometime in this year's third quarter.
Executive Yves Guillemot explained, "The title will be released this fall on Xbox One, PS4 and PC. We have not disclosed our plan yet for the Xbox 360 and PS3 SKUs; however we have made it clear as a company that we will expect to continue supporting both consoles for the foreseeable future."
Assassin's Creed fans can also expect the yearly production of sequels as long as there is strong market patronage. Ubisoft Vice President Lionel Raynaud assured loyal gamers that every franchise will continue to improve its core values to keep interest at an optimum height, this means changes to aspects besides the graphics and storyline.
"It needs to keep the series core values and we need to really make sure that we have a good, high level understanding of what it is to be an Assassin. We have to make sure we always deliver a better feel and overall experience every time while still bringing something that they haven't seen before that's consistent with being an Assassin in the world we've created," Raynaud added.
