Assassin's Creed 5 Unity Release Date, Latest News: PC Version of Game to Launch with PS4 and Xbox One Announces Ubisoft

Assassin's Creed 5: Unity's release date will most likely not be experiencing any delays, announced game developer Ubisoft.

The company said the PS4, Xbox One, and PC versions will all be released in unison with one another on October 28.

"We're always aiming to ship all our games on all platforms at the same time," producer Lesley Phord-Toy said to Rock Paper Shotgun, "I don't have any specific news on the PC version of Assassin's Creed Unity, but I do know we're planning on shipping on all three [platforms]: Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. I haven't heard any news differently than that."

She explained PC is the most intricate platform to develop for, but is still not worried the job will be completed on time.

"It can be challenging. PC has a variety of different hardware configurations that you can't necessarily predict. On a console you know what's in the box. Every customer has the same configuration for the most part, and first-parties push firmware updates so everyone has what you're expecting to have. PCs are nowhere near as consistent. So it can be extremely challenging to try and support as many of those permutations as possible," she stated.

The game was showed off at this year's E3 conference in Los Angeles. Gamers are especially excited for this version due to its new coop gameplay feature, and now players from all over the world will be able to combine efforts to complete action packed missions.

Assassin's Creed 5: Unity was announced by Ubisoft along with another game in the franchise, Comet.

Unity is coming to the next-gen consoles and will take place during the French Revolution, Comet will be for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
