Ashton Kutcher & Mila Kunis Baby Name: Why Did They Name Baby Girl ‘Wyatt Isabelle’?
Ashton Kutcher, 'Jobs' actor and now proud father, recently revealed where he and Mila Kunis got the idea for their daughter's unconventional name- Wyatt Isabelle.
While "Wyatt" is a name most often linked with a family surname or a boy's name, the 'Two and a Half Men' actor appeared as a guest on 'Conan' and explained why he and Kunis decided to name their first daughter Wyatt Isabelle.
"We had another name picked out," he told Conan O'Brien during the appearance on his talk show on Tuesday night.
"We got pregnant a couple of weeks after we picked the name, but when we were pregnant, the name didn't fit the energy we were feeling. One night, Mila was like, 'This is not the name'. I was like, 'okay it's not the name'."
After that, he mentioned how the two went back to the drawing board in regards to the upcoming baby's name.
"I had to get the creative juices going, so we were going to a Lakers game, and I got name tourettes," he recalled.
It was at that point that the actor said a light bulb lit up in his mind.
"I just started listing off anything and everything I saw: 'sign, truck, wall, door...' She [was] like, 'Shut up!' I said, 'if you don't accept my bad ideas, you'll never accept the good ones.'"
"Then I was like, 'I've got a really dumb idea. What about Wyatt?' She goes, 'That's it.'"
As to the origin of Baby Kutcher's middle name, it got its roots from Mila's family.
"We gave her the name Isabelle after Mila's grandfather, who was Yitzhak. And so it has a little heritage," said the new father.
The 'Dude, Where's My Car' actor also immediately registered baby Wyatt's name on Twitter, Instagram and gave her her own e-mail address.
"We immediately went home and reserved all the domain names,' he revealed, "'We've got the Twitter handle - the Instagram - everything you could possibly get - I don't want a porn site with my daughter's name!," he said.
"We write her emails. One day she'll be able to look at it and see the kinds of things people had to say," he continued.
Kutcher and Kunis, who got engaged this February, welcomed their first child on Sept. 30, more than a year after they started dating back in 2012.
