'Arrow' Season 3 Release Date, Spoilers: Premiere Set for October 3, No. 1 Villain Revealed

The CW Network has announced that it will premiere Season 3 of its superhero television series 'Arrow' on Oct. 8. However, they went ahead and already released a trailer to appease some of the eager fans at the recently concluded Comic-Con.

The trailer takes a close look at some of the important developments that fans will notice when the show returns in the Fall. The video focuses on, the period of time when Oliver Queen was believed to be dead, the drama between Oliver and Diggie, and the romance between Felicity and Oliver Queen. Additionally, the trailer covers the introduction of Ray Palmer and Arsenal, played by Drandon Routh and Colton Haynes, respectively.

Although Haynes has been portraying the character of Roy Harper in 'Arrow' since Season 1, DC Comics fans have been eagerly waiting to see when Roy appearing together with Arrow in the show.

Also, fans are likely to see Arsenal's suit right from the get go as Season 3 premieres, however it's still unknown whether Haynes will be seen in it. On a side note, it's confirmed that Arrow will appear in a mask in the new installment.

The suit, bow and mask of Arsenal all have a blood-red hue, very much similar to the hood worn by Roy in 'Arrow' Seasons 1 and 2.

Fans of the show quickly learned in Season 2 that a lot of the strength behind team Arrow came from Roy whenever he'd put on his suit, especially after being injected with Mirakuru serum by Deathstroke. Viewers can recall that for the most part of Season 2, Roy was seen trying to control his rage, basically using the powers of Mirakuru, however, in Season 3 he will be Mirakurua free.

Ra's al Ghul is another character whose presence was often hinted in Season 2. It was also revealed that one of his daughters was a former love interest to the Black Canary. At the Comic-Con it was confirmed that he will be the No. 1 villain in 'Arrow' Season 3.
