Arrow Season 3 Release Date, Plot Rumors: New Characters, Mysterious Blue Beetle
CW Network's Arrow Season 3 has not been officially pegged with a release date, but rumors are beginning to circulate and some fans believe the new installment will premiere in October.
The DC Comics-based show is confirmed for renewal and will come in the form of a sequel to the Season 2 set of episodes. The most recent episode entitled "Unthinkable" and aired on May 14, 2014
Rumors have been spreading that there will be several twists in the upcoming installment of Arrow. Stephen Amell, lead role in the series, mentioned in an interview with TVLine, "It's going to be a little bit different than in Season 2."
Meanwhile, John Borrowman, recently got promoted to season regular, teased about his daughter in the series Malcolm Merlyn, "He's got to train her to be a powerhouse, to be a tough b**ch," and "She's tough now, but she's got to be tougher," Borrowman said when interviewed by TVLine following the finale of Season 2.
He continued, "I've already said to [exec producer] Andrew Kreisberg, 'I want an ouftit like Stephen [Amell]'s, but in black."
According to reports, there will be four new characters in Season 3, namely Daniel, Seth, Toshi and Akiko. The biggest rumor of all, stands as the possible entry of the Blue Beetle, played by Ted Kord.
Rumors say that Blue Beetle might actually be Daniel in the series. In the comics, his character is described as a brilliant mind inventing technology for fighting crimes. He is also a businessman, running Kord Industries which specializes in experimental technology.
With all the twists and possible character appearances said to occur in Season 3, fans hope the October release date rumor turns out to be true.
