'Arrow' Season 3 Premiere Date Spoilers, Live Stream: Possible Crossover with 'The Flash'?
Following the premiere of the new action-superhero series 'The Flash', another CW show, 'Arrow' will debut Season 3 on Wednesday, October 8. What's more is that executive producer Marc Guggenheim has hinted that a crossover between both shows might be in the works.
"It's so freakin' awesome! It really is. I've never had so much fun writing a script before, maybe in my life. It was such a blast to work on," Guggenheim stated via Collider, "We're filming the 'Arrow' episode right now, and it's just so much fun. I keep telling everyone that we should try for 'Avengers'."
He went on to say, "It's these two heroes together with a big production value. We're blowing out the doors on this. There's the opportunity for inside jokes, and seeing all of the characters together. What happens when Cisco gets his eyes on Thea? There are moments like that, that you just can't do in a normal episode. It's just so much fun. It's really going to be a blast."
Also, "Jesse Warren is directing it, and he is just crushing it. Those dailies are really, really insane. Nick Tarabay plays Boomerang/Digger Harkness, and he's amazing. And that weapon is a whole new visual language in the show, and a whole new visual language for our stunt guys to work with. And watching Grant (Gustin) and Stephen (Amell) together is just magic."
Despite the rumors behind the cross over, Marc has not given any more details or mentioned a possible date as to when it might take place.
In other news, the new season of 'Arrow' will explore Oliver's more personal side, as he now has a love interest that will be introduced in this season.
VC Post goes on to say that following the end of Season 2 that there's really nothing for the townsfolk to fear, "The Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force."
With the city seemingly at peace all seems to be going well... until a new villain appears. Enter Vertigo (played by guest star Peter Stormare) who catches Oliver off-guard and someone close to him is hurt as a result. Spoilers go on to mention that Oliver and a "newly suited up" Roy, played by Colton Haynes, take the initiative to face Vertigo.
