'Arrow' Cast News: Colin Donnell Engaged to Actress Patti Murin, Twitter Announcement

Actor Colin Donnell, age 32, is best known for his role as Tommy Meryln on the popular CW superhero drama 'Arrow'. On the show, he plays a 28-year-old billionaire who's the best friend of Oliver Queen, the primary protagonist. However, the actor has not made the headlines for his stunning performance on TV, but for his recent engagement.

On a side note, the actor's character was killed off in an episode entitled "Sacrifice," which unfortunately means the character will not appear in any new episodes.

Moving along, sources report that Donnell has just become engaged to actress Patti Murin of 'Love's Labour's Lost' fame. Evidently, the actor also plays a role with his now fiance in the theatrical production.

Colin and Patti have known each other for eight years, but their romance was first kindled when they starred in a musical adaptation of the aforementioned Shakespearean comedy. In the summer of 2013, Murin had hosted a party before rehearsals and kissed Donnell in the hallway.

At first, Patti was horrified. "I was like, 'What did I just do? I do not want a boyfriend right now,'" she said. Nevertheless, two musical actors were destined to be, and they went from best friends to lovers. Patti explained to Playbill that they wanted to keep the relationship quiet until they started their performances.

"It was like one of those surprise things - and now we live together and have a dog," she said.

The couple is effortlessly cute and funny, and they showed off their sweet relationship on Twitter on December 19th when Murin wrote, "You guys, I have some big news to share!! Ready??? I didn't hate the 'Annie' movie at all. I actually liked it. #alsoigotengaged."

Donnell couldn't let Murin have all the fun and joined in, "I did too! To her!"
