'Arrested Development' Doubles 'House of Cards' Viewership on Netflix with Huge Numbers for Season 4

The much anticipated return of the comedy series "Arrested Development" to Netflix Sunday night was much with much fanfare.

Netflix is making revolutionary steps in the way series are being released with releasing a whole season at once. They tried it with their original series "House of Cards" and it was received very well, so they decided to do it with Season 4 of "Arrested Development" as well.

So Sunday night all 15 episodes of Season 4 of "Arrested Development" were released for live streaming on Netflix.

Procera, a network intelligence company did a preliminary report on the show and Netflix overall traffic.

The biggest thing to jump out was that the new season of "Arrested Development" brought in twice as many viewers as Netflix's last original series "House of Cards". The reason is this so significant is because "House of Cards" was a huge success for Netflix, so double that is a crazy successful amount of streaming viewers.

According to the report, on one DSL network, 36% of Netflix traffic on Sunday was dedicated to at least part of an "Arrested Development" episode. Again comparing to "House of Cards" who had 11% on that same network.

10% of all viewers watching made it through all of the 15 episodes posted for Season 4 of "Arrested Development" by Sunday night/Monday morning.

Netflix appeared to be up 8% in subscribers and 10% in overall traffic due to the new season of "Arrested Development".

Some reviews have been mixed for the new season.
