Ariana Grande 'Yours Truly' Hits #1 Spot on Billboard 200,  First Female Since Kesha to Top Charts (VIDEO)

Ariana Grande's breakout year in music keeps getting sweeter with the debut of her new album. 

Grande's new album Yours Truly released on Septemer 3rd in the U.S. and went straight to #1 on the Billboard 200 charts. She is the first female to have a #1 album since Kesha's Animal release. 

This is her debut album has featured three singles to this point. "The Way" which featured guest rapper Mac Miller, "Baby I" and "Right There" featuring Big Sean. 

Her songs have a throwback feel, somewhat reminding you of early Mariah Carey songs like "Dream lover". Of course no one is putting Grande in Carey's class yet, but it is nice to know that Grande has a great live singing voice to back up her songs.  

The popular 20-year-old singer made her acting debut with the role of Charlotte in 13 on Broadway in 2008.  

Grande just got another huge boost into the spotlight as she performed on the 2013 MTV VMA's a few weeks back.
