Ariana Grande Cover of "Where the Boys Are" by Connie Francis / New "Lullaby" YouTube Series / Relationship with "Wanted" Singer Nathan Sykes Confirmed
Ariana Grande is on fire lately. The "Yours Truly" singer is one of the most popular singers in the world right now, at least according to the Internet. Grande is capitalizing on the short attention span generation and started her own reoccurring series where she covers iconic soul songs to help her fan base fall asleep.
The sleepy time series is called #LullabyFriday.
She hopped on Twitter yesterday to alert her fan base to tune in tonight, September 27.
"Starting a new thing where every Friday night I'm going to post a video to my youtube of me singing something lullaby like... posting 1 now," Grande announced on her Twitter account last night (Sept. 26).
Her first song choice was the Connie Francis hit, "Where the Boys Are."
She sings the song a cappella from her bathroom to help make the performance a little more intimate. Halfway through her first post, Grande, in adorable fashion, forgets the lyrics and actually has to look them up on the Internet. Though it's a forgivable mistake, the slight hiccup will surely make fans feel more connected to the rising young R&B star.
Unlike many young singers of her time, Grande's debut album "Yours Truly" has not only secured a number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 but it's also been widely praised by critics across the country.
Oh, and for all of you that care about Ariana's dating life, the "Baby I" singer has officially confirmed her relationship with The Wanted singer Nathan Sykes is more than friends.
Congrats Ariana Grande, I'm sure loads of fans in the Arianator nation will be tuning in for #LullabyFriday.
