Argentina will battle Trinidad and Tobago tonight at Estadio Monumental Antonio Vespucio Liberti in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Argentina is looking to defend their home field in an exhibition match versus Trinidad and Tobago before the 2014 World Cup, which commences next week. Argentina has won the FIFA World Cup two times in the competition's history, 1978 and 1986, now the modern day squad is looking to win their first title since the Diego Maradona era during the 80's and 90's.

"As I join up with the national team, the atmosphere is completely different. Many times in the past when I have gone back to Barcelona, I have played well. Now I am hoping that the opposite happens," said Argentina's superstar Lionel Messi on playing in the upcoming game vs Trindad and Tobago. "When I return to the training ground with my teammates, with my friends, it's going to change my mentality and it's going to be another story."

Previously, Trinidad and Tobago has only gone as far as the Group Stage Round in a World Cup back in 2006.

The 2014 World Cup starts on Thursday, June 12, 2014 in Brazil.
