Apple iWatch Release Date, News, Rumors: Wearable Tech to Launch in Early 2015?

It's been over three months since Apple unveiled its first wearable device, the Apple Watch, but fans are still eagerly waiting for the product to appear on retailer shelves.

When the Cupertino-based tech giant introduced the Apple Watch alongside the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus in September, 2014 it said that the gadget would be launched in "early 2015," but this has actually proved to be a vague time-frame.

Meanwhile, AppAdvice recently published an article claiming that Apple has accelerated the production of the wearable device with a view to launch it simultaneously in the United States as well as in Europe.

The report says that while Apple seeks to release the device before Valentine's Day 2015, a message from Angela Ahrendts, Apple retail head, to the company's employees hinted that the Apple Watch may be out sometime during spring.

In other words, Apple fans will need to wait for a few months more before they are able to wear the Apple Watch.

According to recent reports, the Apple Watch will carry a hefty price tag and one has to spend about $350 for the standard version of the device. While the release date of the device has yet to be confirmed, Apple is likely going to make an announcement regarding the specs of the Apple Watch shortly.

Meanwhile, with Tim Cook at the helm of affairs at Apple, expectations about the Apple Watch have been mounting. Most Apple fans believe that the device is likely to usher in an entire new experience. They substantiate that since Tim Cook took over as the CEO of Apple, the company has successfully launched the iPod Touch and the iPad. Even the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have proved to be thundering successes.

According to a report by Business Insider, Cook believes that it will either be a revolutionary success or a colossal flop. However, Joh Legere, T-Mobile CEO, believes that the Apple Watch will certainly be a major success in the history of Apple's product launch. He wrote in a recent blog post, "In 2015, I believe that the Apple Watch will mark the tipping point when wearables go from niche to mainstream."
