Apple Watch 2 Release Date Rumors: Second Apple Smartwatch Set To Be Smarter Than Original Apple Watch?

Apple has released some details on its forthcoming product line and a case in point is the Apple Watch 2.

Serving as a leap from the first Apple Watch, the Apple Watch 2 is said to be a much "smarter" device, as it is set to have sensors that are able to check skin conductivity, blood pressure, and even blood oxygen levels, according to Tech Times. The aforementioned features were previously announced for the original Apple Watch, but were scrapped at one point.

The Apple Watch 2 is also going to be thinner than its predecessor and rumors say that the upcoming device of the Cupertino-based company will have a front-facing camera for a "Dick Tracy" style FaceTime communications. However, the said feature bars the video feature. The smartwatch is also set to include a Wi-Fi chip, making it independent from the iPhone.

According to Macrumors, the Apple Watch 2 might come along with bands of various colors and designs, since Apple is known to release new band designs several times a year. The company may also yield circular smartwatch designs, as a new addition to the existing rectangular-faced shape of its predecessor.

While Apple remains on top when it comes to its wearable devices, other companies have also designed their own smartwatches. One example is Motorola's Moto 360 Sport, which aims to help its users to measure their training sessions. The said watch is set to have a band made of rubber silicone, preventing the absorption of sweat or liquid and fading.

Along with the Apple Watch 2, the Cupertino-based firm is also set to release the watch OS 3, iOS 10, OS X 10.2, Skylake Macs, iPad Air 3, iPhone 6c, and iPhones 7 and 7 Plus.

The Apple Watch 2 is rumored to be released in the early part of 2016.
