Apple iWatch Release Date News: T-Mobile CEO Predicts Big Things for New Device

In a new blog post, T-Mobile CEO John Legere made some predictions for the tech industry in regards to how it will change in 2015. One of the points he made in the post stressed that he believes Apple's upcoming Apple Watch, will change how people feel about smartwear.

According to his T-Mobile Blog post, Legere said, "in 2015, I believe that the Apple Watch will mark the tipping point when wearables go from niche to mainstream."

If that's the case, than it would be safe to say that the Apple Watch just might revolutionize the smartgear market in the same way the iPod did to the MP3 market.

In that regard, Business Insider says that the Apple Watch can be expected to release in Spring 2015, at roughly $350 for the regular model. However, the premium version of the device might possibly cost as much as $5,000.

On a side note, the T-Mobile CEO mentioned in the blog post that he thinks phablet sales will continue to rise in the new year. According to his post "phablet sales will continue to sky rocket - up at least 50%."

Stepping back into the Apple Watch techies waiting to get their wrists into the device would like to know when they'll be able to. With regards to a release date, Apple has not yet officially announced a launch window.

However, sources speculate that the launch of the Apple Watch will happen sometime in the first quarter of 2015.

A Mac Rumors report claims that Apple originally wanted the device to be ready by the fourth quarter of 2014, however, that wasn't the case.

This has lead sources to believe that a more accurate projection of a launch window for the Apple Watch, would be sometime in late February, 2015.

Regardless, Apple fanatics who are anticipating this device only have a few months to go before they're ready to bring their wrists into the twenty-first century.
