Apple iPhone 6S Latest News: Photos of Retail Box Surfaces Online Before Sept. 9 Launch

Just a few hours ahead of the much-anticipated Apple iPhone 6S launch and its larger variant iPhone 6S Plus, a new leak suggest that the Cupertino-based tech titan may be offering the 16 GB version of both the new handsets. This aside, a slew of leaked images also reveals the retail boxes of the iPhone 6S, wrappers as well as wallpapers.

IB Times reports that a distinct shot of the purported iPhone 6S/ 6S Plus box, revealed by Tech Tastic, displays a 16 GB storage variant. In addition, Phone Arena reported that the leak also suggests that the two handsets will support 3G and LTE connectivity, including the Chinese network connectivity options, suggesting that they will house a Qualcomm modem under the hood.

In company with the leaked retail boxes, a wrapper meant for the rumored Rose Gold variant of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus has also surfaced. Ahead of the launch date, there were several rumors about the Rose Gold version, but none of the leaked sources confirmed its existence.

Nevertheless, the leaked new wrapper adds some credibility to the earlier rumors. Phone Arena reports that the Rose Gold model may come with a white front, but the rear casing may be in Rose Gold color.

These aside, it seems that the Apple iPhone 6S depicted on the retail box shows the same wallpaper render that was leaked earlier. In other words, the rumored "animated wallpapers" may also be a reality, reports Phone Arena.
