The Apple brand of smart phones perhaps has the most loyal followers who are very particular about the subtlest details about the handset series. The Apple iPhone 6c is supposed to be a mid-range phone in terms of size and features. The rumors about its specs and possible release have been circulating.

It was last September that the iPhone 5c turned two years old. Many wondered whether the 5c would be the last of mid-range iPhone handsets that will have the colorful plastic cover. Many believed that Apple will phase out the colorful handset models but then came along the iPhone 6c concept images and mockups.

Speculations quickly turned to the other direction because of the recently leaked images and mockups. These speculations about a possible iPhone 6c were not as intense last September when the Apple unveiled the iPhone 6s Plus and the iPhone 6s.

With 4-inch screen, the iPhone 6c will be the smaller successor of the iPhone 5c. It was only in mid November of last year that rumors about the 6c started to gain some momentum. The Japanese website, Mac Otakara, has claimed that iPhone 6c production was already started and the units will hit the stores within a few months.

Then came along the most recent rumor from Chinese blog website TechWeb just this month, alleging that iPhone 6c probably will be released in stores in February of 2016, just before Valentine's Day.
