Apple iPhone 6 Skeptic Rumors: Lighter, Thinner 5-inch model in 2013
Rumors are spreading these das about iPhone 6 and iPhone 5S, this time with their origins being somewhere on the South part if Asia. As rumors always spread about Apple, there are many questions about industry source these days.
The rumors are saying that Apple is planning two new iPhone models sometime in 2013: an iPhone 5S that looks exactly like an iPhone 5 and a new iPhone 6 which will boast a 5-inch touchscreen display. There are indications that the iPhone 6 would come in a very thin and light body too.
Macrumors first reported the rumors after Brightwire translated post. Here's the Brightwire Translation of the some of the pertinent details released in a Sina Weibo report about the anonymously sourced report, which ended up on Laoyaoba.com.
These rumors have told that iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 has been released in 2013, according to the website's microblog on Thursday evening.
The Source from the report noted that iPhone 5S resembles the iPhone 5 and iPhone 6 is lighter and thinner.
As you can see, the chain of translation, reporting, and reposting obscures the entirely unknown source of the first report, which 9to5mac has traced down to a non-news-affiliated microblog that is part of the Laoyaoba.com site. While 9to5mac concedes that there have been prototypes of a larger-screen iPhone (somewhat reliable reports have it at 4.7-inches), it's a bad idea to take this uncorroborated report very seriously.
If something comes out that backs up this rumor, though, we'll definitely find out and report it to you. Says Latin Post
