Rumored release dates for the iPad 5 is September along with the iPad Mini 2 and for the release for the Galaxy Note 3 is October. 

The rumored prices for the two devices are iPad (16 GB) is $399 and the price for the Note 3 is $800 without a contract.  

The iPad 5 will have a 9.7 inch display and the Galaxy Note 3 will have a 6 inch display.  

Here we are in April 2013 with official word, but everyone who follows Apple is still definitely expecting the new iPad 5 to be released sometime in September 2013. With it being April now and the rumors of the iPhone 5S coming out in June, the iPad 5 is expected now to release around September or October 2013.  Apple's iPad 5 rumors are reporting that the new iPad will come with new LED backlighting system, have a bigger screen size and be thinner and lighter.

There are rumors that Apple will introduce a revamped 9.7" iPad design that will resemble that of Current iPad mini, some would be fans of that and some would not be.

In the past two years the spring event for Apple has had iPad updates. This year its unpredictable though as Apple has been mixing up their release dates of products this past year.Over the last decade Apple has given the tech wold the most advanced designs and biggest breakthrough products.

However with Steve Jobs passing and competitors like Samsung coming at them with better and better products like the Note 3, Apple needs to come out with a couple new "wow" factors in their products to keep them one step ahead of everyone else. 

Many people who follow the products are expecting the iPad 5 and the iPad mini 2, to have similar features.
