Apple iPad 5 & iPad Mini 2 Release Date Announce Soon, Pressure Rises for New Product
Apple is feeling the heat to release their newest tablets iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2.
Bloomberg is projecting that two of Apples key products, iPhone 5 and the iPad Mini, are expected to have a 25-30% drop in the second quarter.
This is not because the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini are bad products, it is just because after the boom of a new Apple product release, consumers want to hold their money for the next new thing rather then spend on the current item.
With everyone waiting on Apple to announce release dates for the iPhone 5S, iPad 5 and iPad Mini 2, sales on current products will be in a natural decline.
People have loved the size of the iPad Mini, but the resolution left much too be desired compared with a normal Apple product. Add to that, the new specs for the iPad Mini 2 are going to be vastly upgraded.
According to reports, the iPad Mini 2 will feature a screen with a resolution of 2048 x 1536. This is almost four times the resolution of the present iPad Mini and is equal to the iPad 4 which was released along with the iPad Mini last year. Not sure why Apple decided to push out the iPad Mini with such a low res screen, maybe they were just wanting to see how the product would sell on the market before investing too much in it. However, with big upgrades like this coming, it is easy to see why someone at this time would not spend the money on the iPad Mini but wait until the release of the iPad Mini 2.
The iPad Mini 2 will also include a more powerful dual core A7 processor and a 7.9 inch screen. The battery wil feature a 10-hour battery life, a FaceTime HD camera, and an iSight camera with 1080 pixels HD video recording.
Also, Apple is feeling the pressure from the growing tablet market. While the iPad is still the standard by most people, the competition is growing. Companies including Samsung, Asus, Acer, HP and more recently, HTC are releasing new tablet devices this year.
