Apple iOS 8.4 News: Cupertino Tech Titan to Launch iOS Update With Apple Music Today
Apple is releasing an update to its existing operating system iOS, which will be available for download on Tuesday, June 30. Quoting an executive of the Cupertino-based tech titan, Tech Crunch reports that the iOS 8.4 update will make is official debut alongside Apple Music today.
A report in Latin Post states that Apple Music senior director and former Beats CEO Ian Rogers has confirmed in a blog post that Apple Music will be officially launched on Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. PT. The occasion will also mark the release time of iOS 8.4. Incidentally, Apple Music will run on iOS8.4.
Generally, people using Apple products are quick to upgrade their devices to the most recent operating systems. Hence, even upgrading to iOS 8.4 should be easy for users. In the case of iOS8, there was a size problem, which put off some users from upgrading as their devices had small amounts of storage space.
However, Rogers appeared to be confident that the iOS 8.4 will be released on Tuesday morning, but there could be delays that may force back the release time for the latest iOS update. He said that in case too many users try to access the update from Apple's servers at the same time, they may be forced to shut down some users from updating their iOS to 8.4.
In fact, Apple has made substantial investments as well as upgrades to their cloud capabilities and infrastructure with a view to make these updates run more smoothly. Hence, users looking forward to upgrade their devices on Tuesday morning will possibly do so without any major glitches.
Initially, Apple will be offering a three month free trial of Apple Music - an exhilarating new feature coming to iOS 8.4. After the free trial, the service will be available for $10 per month offering users a huge library of music available on demand.
According to 9to5Mac, in addition to iOS 8.4 and Apple Music, Beats 1 will also be coming on Tuesday morning. It will be launched about an hour after the release of Apple Music and iOS 8.4. For the uninitiated, Beats 1 is an online streaming radio station having artist-curated playlists and full-time DJs running stations, counting ex-BBC host Zane Lowe.
However, Apple representatives have not confirmed the release of iOS 8.4 yet, but with Rogers' blog post and Facebook event, it is very likely that users will see iOS 8.4 Tuesday morning.
