Christian Woman Sentenced to Death for Denouncing Islam is Miraculously Freed From Prison (VIDEO)

A Sudanese woman sentenced to death has been freed from prison after converting from Islam to Christianity. Meriam Yehya Ibrahim has once again been reunited with her Christian husband following a miraculous turn of events.

Shariah law convicts and sentences death upon anyone that converts from Islam to another religion. Therefore, Ibrahim was sentenced to death-by-hanging for her marriage to a Christian man from the United States.

Miraculously CNN reported that the mother of two has been discharged from prison after an appeals court found that the death-by-hanging punishment against her was not warranted.

Ibrahim's Muslim brother reportedly turned her into the authorities after he found out she was married to a Christian man. The brother told CNN he thought Ibrahim was missing before police found her and maintained that he believes she deserved the death sentence if she does not convert back to Islam.

In Sudan if the father of a child is Muslim that makes the child automatically Muslim. Ibrahim said her father, who was a Sudanese Muslim, left when she was just six and her mother, who was Ethiopian Orthodox, raised her as a Christian.

The court had warned her to denounce her Christianity by May 15, but she refused to. "I am a Christian and I never committed apostasy," Ibrahim reportedly told a judge.

Ibrahim was convicted of apostasy, and sentenced to die in May while she was eight months pregnant. In addition to the death sentence, the court convicted her of adultery and sentenced her to 100 lashes.

Ibrahim was allowed to be with her baby boy (coming up on two-years of age) while she remained on death's row, she later gave birth to a new born baby girl who also stayed with her in the prison.

People all over the world have united together in protest of her sentence. Amnesty International described the sentence as "abhorrent," and the U.S. State Department said it was "deeply disturbed."

A number of Sudanese people have been convicted of apostasy in recent years, but they all escaped execution by denying their new faith. Christians all over the web believe Ibrahim, 27, was granted a miracle from God.

"Praise You, Lord Jesus Christ, for your answer to prayers for the rescue of your faithful servant, Merriam!!" one supporter wrote on the web.

Many are still concerned for her safety, urging her and her family to leave Sudan immediately.

"This is truly an answer to prayer. Keep praying that she and her husband and children will be allowed to leave Sudan and go to a civilized country where they can live as Christians and not be imprisoned for their faith," another posted.
