Angie Miller Voted Off 'American Idol', She, Nicki Minaj & Colton Dixon Take to Twitter After The Show, Candice Glover & Kree Harrison Advance to Season Finale

"American Idol" was down to the Top 3 last night and the results show ended with fireworks!

Candice Glover was the first one to be named to make the finale, so it was down to Angie and Kree, then of course they went to another commercial break to add to the suspense for a few more minutes.

At long last, the other girl to make the finale was... Kree Harrison.

In a shocker, Angie Miller, who most thought was a clear finale contestant, was eliminated and sent home last night.

Nicki Minaj wrote this on her twitter after the show, " Congrats Kreedom!!!!!!!! Love u!!!! Mmmuuuaaahhhh!!!!! Angie u will be great with or without the Top2. Luvu babes!!!!!!"

Angie Miller wrote this on her twitter to all of her fans, "All I can say is THANK YOU!!!! Thank you for bringing me to the top 3!!! I love you SOOO much #Dreamers! This is just the beginning!!

Colton Dixon wrote on his twitter, "Wow.  I'm shocked.  @AngieAI12 proud of you.  Keep your head up!  Just the start of you're career! #nevergone"

Angie Miller and Candice Glover have been in the top 2 the last several weeks with Kree Harrison in the bottom 2.  So if voting had stayed consistent Kree Harrison was expected to be the one voted off last night.

However, as in many "American Idol" seasons, there are eliminations that the fans didn't see coming and Miller is just the next to add to that list.

Miller had by far the highest social media presence of the contestants with over double the amount of fans on twitter, facebook, instagram, etc and had never been in the bottom 2 before being eliminated tonight.

So in a surprise Angie Miller ended up being sent home tonight, but she had a great run on the show and this is just the beginning for her.

Tonight Idol brought in special guest Alicia Keys and she performed "Tears Always Win" from her hit album, "Girl on Fire."

Also, country artist and Season 10 runner-up, Lauren Alaina, performed her new single, "Barefoot and Buckwild" for the first time back on the Idol stage.

All of the ladies Top 3 were truly great vocalists and have established a great fanbase on the show to have a strong launch to successful careers for each one of them.

Watch the season finale on "American Idol" next week at on FOX to see if Kree Harrison or Candice Glover is chosen to be the next American Idol.
