Last night's American Idol Season 12 Top 4 episode was packed with powerhouse performances, especially from Angie Miller and Amber Holcomb. Miller stayed in her comfort zone at the piano singing "Who You Are" by Jessie J. [a song Angie sang a capella on Hollywood Week].

Though Miller did seem a little stiff in the beginning the American Idol judges loved it.

Nicki Minaj said: "There's no one that compares to you when you are behind the piano. You sang like you were closing an awards show."

Idol mentor Jimmy Iovine put Angie "neck-and-neck" with Amber Holcomb.

Speaking of, Amber Holcomb gave a rousing rendition of Celine Dion's "Power of Love

Keith Urban said, "it was an amazingly perfect song choice" for Amber.

Nicki told Amber she was a pro, "not a contestant anymore."

Candice Glover and Kree Harrison were definitely in the bottom two after last night's performances.

Candice Glover's version of "Emotion" by Samantha Sang was probably her highest moment and the only the thing that could keep her in the contest.

It wasn't too much gospel and it wasn't too showy. On "Emotion" Candice Glover just stuck to the melody, which was a refreshing change.

I saved the worst for last. Kree Harrison, though usually an Idol favorite, easily had the worst night on last night's American Idol. Though her first son, Susan Tedeschi's "It Hurt So Bad" was average [at best] her second song choice, "Whiter Shade of Pale" by Procol Harum was horrendous. The judges weren't nearly as harsh as I would have been.

Tune in to tonight's American Idol Season 12 live results show. If America gets it right they'll put Angie Miller and Amber Holcomb in the Top 2 leaving Candice Glover and Kree Harrison in danger of being eliminated.
