Angie Miller, Kree Harrison Among 'American Idol' Top 8

Later Paul Jolley. Thursday night's live results show narrowed American Idol Season 12 down to eight contestants. Wednesday's performance them, "Songs from Lennon/McCartney" (yes, I agree the theme has been exhausted) brought the best out of some contestants, and nails on a chalkboard from others. I'm talking to you Lazaro.

After watching Wednesday's performances I could've sworn Lazaro Arbos was going home. His timid rendition of "In My Life" was nervously butchered into oblivion. Criticized by both the judges and show mentor Jimmy Iovine, Arbos made it through to the next round. I'm pretty sure all of middle American has a crush on the sympathetic Arbos.

Thursday's American Idol results show revealed Angie Miller, Candice Glover, and Kree Harrison in the top 3. Big surprise. Amber Holcomb, Devin Velez and Paul Jolley were in the bottom 3. Apparently Lazaro Arbos, Janelle Arthur and Burnell Taylor were just mediocre earning spots in the middle 3.

Jolley, who received the least amount of votes had the opportunity to sing himself back into competition but the judges had enough and sent Jolley home.

Last night's episode also featured a special performance from Season 11 runner-up Jessica Sanchez, who sang a duet with Ne-Yo and season 10 finalist Casey Abrams.

Let us know who you think should have been eliminated from Thursday's Top 9 American Idol episode. Was Jolley the right choice?

Tune in Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8/7c to see the Top 8 perform on Season 12 of American Idol
