Angie Miller on 'American Idol' Sings Kari Jobe's "Love Came Down" [VIDEO] / Gets Back to Christian Roots
Outspoken Christian contestant Angie Miller performed "Love Came Down" by Kari Jobe as her second Top 6 American Idol performance last night.
"It's definitely not a well known song but I'm so excited for people to hear it," the 19-year old Beverly, Massachusetts native wrote.
Last night, Idol contestants sang two songs each. The first had to be picked from the Burt Bacharach and Hal David songbook, and the second was "A Song I Wish I Had Written."
If Angie Miller wins American Idol 2013, a song like Kari Jobe's "Love Came Down" is exactly the type of song that will be written for her.
In last week's episode, Angie blew the judges away with her edgy version of Evanescence's most popular song, "Bring Me To Life." Though I personally thought the rendition was contrived [a la beauty pageant], Nicki Minaj said, "she stayed true to the genre and it was a perfect choice. Her voice sounded amazing."
Tune into tonight's live results show to see how Angie fared and find out who will be eliminated.
Multi-platinum artist and Season 1 winner, Kelly Clarkson will perform her new single, "People Like Us" as well. Season 10 winner and platinum-selling country artist Scotty McCreery is also scheduled to perform.
What did you think of Angie Miller's performances last night on American Idol? Was it enough to vote her into the Top 5?
