Angelina Jolie recently graced the cover of an issue of Vanity Fair Magazine in which she mentions that she has warmed up to the idea that she'd like a career in politics.
On a side note, Jolie who is well known for her acts of philanthropy, has been the United Nations' Goodwill Ambassador for 13 years running.
"When you work as a humanitarian, you are conscious that politics have to be considered," the 'Maleficent' actress revealed.
"Because if you really want to make an extreme change, then you have a responsibility," she added.
"But I honestly don't know in what role I would be more useful-I am conscious of what I do for a living, and that could make it less possible," Jolie continued.
When asked directly if she will indeed pursue a career in politics, public service or diplomacy, the 39-year old actress, without hesitation said, "I am open."
Meanwhile, Jolie is currently with husband Brad Pitt filming 'By The Sea', their first movie tie-up since 'Mr. and Mrs. Smith' back in 2005.
On a side note, Jolie is known for her humanitarian acts and uses her celebrity as a way to enact change.
Jolie was recently acknowledged by the Queen herself for her campaigns against sexual violence. She's also traveled the world in support of several noble causes.
Back in 2005, Jolie made a documentary for MTV about Kenya entitled 'The Diary of Angelina Jolie and Dr. Jeffrey Sachs in Africa' which was released at the same time the UN summit meeting on millennium development goals was being held.
"Africa is beautiful, marvellous, smart people, strong people, strong country and has a potential to be so much," she said at the time. "I'd love to see Africa flourish. It's magnificent and it has so much hope, so much possibility."
