Android KitKat 4.4.4: Nexus 5, Nexus 7, Nexus 4, Nexus 10 - Roll Out of Google Line, Problems Still Encountered

The latest Android 4.4.4 KitKat update is rolling out on a number of different devices in the next few weeks. Among those devices, receiving the update, will be Google's Nexus phone line. The Android 4.4.4 update will be fixing bugs and errors that plagued the 4.4.3 update.

The 4.4.3 update was released sometime early June for the Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7, and Nexus 10 to fix the bugs and errors that were present in the 4.4.2 update. Of course, the 4.4.3 update also had its own issues and bugs that the 4.4.4 update needed to fix.

The KitKat update rolled out on other smartphone devices which included the LG G3 and the Motorola Moto G. The update will also be coming for older Samsung Galaxy mobiles as well as the Galaxy Tabs.

The Android 4.4.4 update was a crucial one for Nexus users as the update included a small security patch for OpenSSL vulnerability. The upgrade from the 4.4.3 KitKat is important for Nexus users as it fixes these problems with the 4.4.4 update.

Even though the 4.4.4 update is a fix in itself, it does have its own problems to deal with. E-mail account syncing is currently a problem with the Kitkat update as well as battery drain problems. The 4.4.4 update has been seen as making battery life shorter in some devices as well.

The Android team is aware of the problems and is currently working to get a fix released.
