Android KitKat 4.4.3 Update: Google Nexus 7, 10, 4, 5 Downloads Now Available

Android KitKat 4.4.3 is now available over-the-air.

Android smartphone users will no longer have to wait until the Google I/O Conference scheduled on May 26. The latest Google operating system is now available in India for Nexus 4, Nexus 5, and Nexus 7 with build numbers KTU84L and KTU84M, reported NDTV Gadgets. Users who want to download the OS's factory images and binaries can browse Liliputing.com for more information.

Tech Radar previously reported that the latest Android operating system would fix bugs such as random reboots, VPN settings, internet connectivity, and camera focus. Users can also expect improved battery life when camera or apps like Skype are used. A disclaimer from Android Open Source website reads, "If you plan to install the update manually instead of waiting for an over-the-air update, note that you'll need to use fastboot, not a recovery like TWRP or ClockworkMod."

Aside from fixing bugs, Android KitKat also features a revamped user interface as well as a dialer that is similar to Gmail. According to CNET statistics, 13.6 percent of users who visited PlayStore in the past seven-day period, ending June 4, are KitKat users. Jelly Bean still ranks first among the most used operating system with 58.4 percent, followed by Gingerbread (14.9 percent) and Ice Cream Sandwich (12.3 percent).

NDTV Gadgets also announced that Android KitKat 4.4.3 will roll out for Moto E, Moto G, and Moto X in the coming weeks.
