Android KitKat 4.4.3 Update on Google Nexus 4, 5, 7, 10: Release Date Set for May 2014?

Although there is no sign of the much-anticipated Android 4.4.3 KitKat update, rumor mills are abuzz that it may begin to roll out sometime next week, possibly May 23. If these rumors are to be believed, Google Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 will be the first to receive the update.

However, an earlier leak hinted that the HTC One M8 and HTC One M7 would also receive Android 4.4.3 KitKat later this month, but it did not offer any precise date.

It is anticipated that the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update will fix several problems faced by users since the software was launched in November last year. It is being speculated that the update will fix over three dozen bugs currently plaguing people using devices run on Android. It is expected that the forthcoming update will deal with random reboots, unstable data connections, VPN fixes, missed calls, LED problems and more.

It is also rumored that Android 4.4.3 KitKat will also be available for a number of Samsung devices, which are currently running on Android 4.2.2, such as Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4, Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy Note 3 and a few more. However, the South Korean tech titan is likely to skip Android 4.4.2 for the above-mentioned devices and directly release the 4.4.3 update for them.

Apart from HTC One M8 and HTC One M7, the update of this Android version will also be released to devices from other companies, such as Motorola Moto G, Moto E, LG G Pad 8.3 and also the Sony Xperia Z Ultra.

While rumors regarding the Android 4.4.3 KitKat have been floating around for some time, this is the first time that someone has talked about a precise day. However, still it is uncertain whether the update will definitely be released on May 23. More rumors will likely start surfacing until then and we'll be sure to share them all with you here.
