Android 4.4 KitKat Update Problems: Google Provides Bug Fixes in 4.4.2

Google has launched its Android KitKat 4.4 exclusively for Nexus products: Nexus 4, Nexus 5, Nexus 7 and Nexus 10, but is still updating the program since reports claim it is beginning to show signs of bugs and glitches.

After arriving in the market, a lot of complaints were sent to the Google headquarters demanding a quick remedy for the bugs. Google soon after provided an update, the Android 4.4.1 KitKat update, just a few weeks after the outburst of complaints.

Google also released the Android 4.4.2 KitKat to fix another security problem which is the latest update from corporation.

The search engine giant also wrote some advice on how to fix the battery drop and signal issues for Android 4.4.

"Uninstalling Skype may substantially reduce the likelihood of this bug appearing, but I realize Skype is a very important application for many people. Other camera-using applications may trigger this bug as well, but that's been relatively rare. Most applications also do not access the camera when not in the foreground, so they will only trigger issues when actively used," Google wrote.

However, for most of its users, this trick did not work. There were still reports about poor battery life, signal issues and UI flaws. Now, the users are asking for Google to provide yet another update to fix these issues.

Google did not confirm the issues that were reported after the Android 4.4.2 KitKat update, and it is still unclear whether Google will provide an additional fix since they are known for being unpredictable when it comes to updating their systems.

For the meantime, users will have to endure the problems with their smartphones and wait until Google provides a resolution for the new bugs.
