Android 4.4.4 Updates: Moto X, G and E Receiving Updates, HTC One M8, M7 Expected Soon

Motorola is currently rolling out the latest operating software Android 4.4.4 KitKat to its flagship handsets, including the Moto X, Moto G and Moto E in India. Also, it this update will soon be available for other Motorola smartphone users in various places on the globe. HTC has also announced the roll out of Android 4.4.4 KitKat for its latest handsets like the HTC One M8 and HTC One M7.

Announcing the roll out of the latest software via Twitter, HTC vice-president (product management), Mo Versi, stated that the update will usher in many bug fixes and security implementation. However, he did not specify the devices that will be receiving the update.

However, the software update may be rolled out to HTC One M8 first, which happens to be the company's current flagship smartphone. It will then arrive on HTC One M7, the flagship smartphone of the company in 2013.

Versi's tweet also seems to go with the road-map leak from LlabTooFer, the popular leakster and XDA recognised contributor. The leaked information says that many devices are currently eligible for Android 4.4.4 KitKat update with Sense 6.0 UI. These devices may skip Android 4.4.3 in favor of Android 4.4.4 version.

It is expected that HTC One M8 and One M7 will receive Android 4.4.4 KitKat and Sense 6.0 UI sometime between July and August. Even HTC One M8 Dual, One Mini 2 and One E8 are scheduled for the same firmware update between August and September this year. In addition to these devices, even their available Google Play Edition models are will be evaluated for Android L update from October to December 2013.

Motorola Android 4.4.4 KitKat Update

While Moto X, Moto G and Moto E smartphones are currently unveiling the official Android 4.4.4 KitKat update in India, it is expected to arrive in other territories, including the United States, soon.

David Schuster of Motorola announced the official Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for these three smartphones on June 4.

The Android 4.4.3 KitKat update will bring several improvements to these handsets, including an enhanced dialer app with a new user interface as well as new colors to enhance usability. It will also include a number of stability updates, security fixes, framework, and enhancements to their power profile capabilities.
