Android 4.4.4 KitKat for Moto X: Update Schedule, Change Logs and Network Carriers
Verizon Wireless is currently rolling out the official Android 4.4.4 KitKat update to Moto X users in the United States. While AT&T will begin the soak testing for the new firmware update soon, Sprint has already released Android 4.4.3 along with Android 4.4.4 security fixes.
This allows all Moto X users to update their handsets to the new Android 4.4.4 KitKat firmware from different major network carriers in the United States.
Official change logs from Sprint through Android Police:
- Android 4.4.3 KitKat comprises several stability, framework and security fixes, as well as accuracy enhancements to the power profile
- Enhancement in the camera image quality, including improved consistency of exposure, further realistic flash coloring as well as enhanced photos in low light conditions using the front camera
- Pause plus resume video recording button on the camera viewfinder
- Updated version of the Dialler app along with latest graphical layout and colors to enhance consistency and usability

- Enhanced camera picture quality, counting improved photos in fluorescent lighting and improved dynamic range
- New pause and resume video recording button on the camera viewfinder
- Lates graphical layout plus colors for the Dialler app to augment consistency and usability
- Android Geeks reports that Motorola will commence the official soak test of the Android 4.4.4 KitKat firmware for AT&T Moto X variation. Now, users are allowed to register as well as take part in the soak test and offer full feedback to help Motorola on developing the final build, which is expected to be released soon.
- Similar to others, people using AT&T Moto X are also expected to receive improvements and enhancements from Android 4.4.4 KitKat, including security fixes, camera updates and new Dialler application, soon.
Future Updates
It has also been confirmed that Moto X will be receiving Android L firmware update immediately when it is ready to rollout. Motorola vice-president (Product Management), Punit Soni sent out the confirmation via Google+ after a user, (handle Josh B) enquired about the future of Moto X.
