Android 4.4.3 KitKat Update Release Date Arrives for Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 Mini on Verizon

The latest Android 4.4.3 KitKat update released on the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Mini for Verizon users last week.

The latest software from Google offers new features to the Samsung handsets mentioned above including, incorporating SMS into hangouts, immersive mode, Google printing and several other features. In addition, Android 4.4.3 KitKat also brings some bug fixes which have been emphasized in the change-log of each phone. Verizon and Samsung also incorporated a number of precise changes for these handsets, for instance, Samsung Kjavascript:;nox 2.0 support and addition of ISIS Wallet on the GS3.

Some fans find it strange that the Samsung Galaxy S3, an older and dated device compared to the Galaxy S4 Mini, received the newest Android software first.

The popular handsets largely contribute the success of Samsung's smartphones, especially found in the public reception of the Galaxy S3. In fact, the launch of Galaxy S4 was a defining and prosperous moment for the South Korean tech titan. Similarly, the Galaxy S4 Mini followed suit and complemented its 'bigger brother' well.

Galaxy S5, the current flagship handset of Samsung, too has a mini version as well as an Active model, which are both dust and water resistant. Galaxy S3 is the first handset in Samsung's Active product line.

Meanwhile, Android 4.4.3 KitKat is also available for Samsung Galaxy S3 owners using AT&T. The latest software update will be rolled out to other Galaxy S3 service providers in the near future.
