American Music Awards 2013: Taylor Swift Wins Big at the AMAs in Los Angeles
The "We Are Never Getting Back Together" singer cleaned house at the 2013 AMAs in Los Angeles this year. She beat out fellow artists Macklemore, Rihanna, Bruno Mars and Justin Timberlake for the Artist of the Year award. She told her fans in her acceptance speech, "My lucky number is 13, and so far you guys have made 2013 the most magical year so far. I'm 23 and I have no idea what's going to happen to me... I love you so much. It's unbelievable."
Swift also won the award for Best Country Album for her album "Red" which was released over a year ago. The album featured the hit singles "Red," "22," and "We Are Never Getting Back Together."
Other artists that won awards were Macklemore and Justin Timberlake. Macklemore and Ryan Lewis won the award for Best Hip/Hop Album and Justin Timberlake won both the Favorite Male Soul/R&B artist and Best Soul/R&B Album.
Timberlake later took the stage and introduced himself as JT and the Tennessee Kids. He then launched into his country-style "Drink You Away" song.
Ariana Grande came up to the stage to accept the award for Best New Artist after beating out Florida Georgia Line, Imagine Dragons, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis and Phillip Phillips.
