American Idol's Angie Miller Sends Prayers to Boston, Just 25 Minutes From Her Childhood Home

Angie Miller is in L.A. preparing for the "American Idol" week of the Top 5 contestants.  However, she was shaken up by the news of the explosions at the Boston Marathon as she grew up in Beverly, just 25 minutes north of Boston.

Miller wrote to her 64,000 fans on Facebook, "My heart is going out to my home... I love you Boston."  She continued to say, "Praying right now for all of you, and the families of those who have been injured."

Angie Miller had an incredible performance last week, moving back to the piano and singing Christian artist Kari Jobe's version of "Love Came Down" which got her a standing ovation from the crowd and judges.

when tragedy strikes though, most everything else seems less important for the moment.  Hopefully though, the Top 5 contestants on "American Idol" can give some temporary relief and joy tomorrow and Thursday night as they compete for a spot in the Top 4.

Miller has been a favorite all season, so hopefully she can keep it up with her performance tomorrow night.
