"American Idol" continued on FOX Tonight the girls will be singing songs with the them of "Then" (standards) and "Now" (songs from 2013). 

Angie Miller's first song tonight was "Diamonds" by Rihanna.  Miller did change up the arrangement and sit at her piano tonight which is usually a win for Angie.  However, the song didn't really have a "wow" factor to it.  Her voice sounded good but it seemed lacking a bit of emotion and didn't really go too many places, which the judges keyed in on as well. 

Here were the judges reactions to Angie Miller's first performance tonight. 

Keith Urban: "I could see you melodically wanting to go to places and you would go up and come back down again.  I would say if you are going to take a song and change the arrangement, you are free to change the melody too."

Nicki Minaj: "This seemed different than anyone of your piano performances that I've ever witnessed. Normally when you are on the piano you are so connected, this one you were making more eye contact with the audience, trying to boost the performance more with your body then your heart.  It was bland and lack luster, you can do a lot better."

Randy Jackson: "It just didn't go anywhere, once you hit the chorus, that was it.  Even you singing into your highest heights, there was no where to go."

Mariah Carey: " I must admit it seemed like you were playing to the camera more than the usual Angie, lost in the moment of playing."

The results last week ended with Angie Miller and Candice Glover as the Top 2 and Kree Harrison and Amber Holcomb in the bottom 2.  So we will see if any performances tonight change the fan vote  for Thursday.  

Miller has been a favorite all season long and the judges said she had the best performances of anyone last week.  So we will see if Angie can keep up that momentum tonight.

American Idol alum David Cook will be performing his new single, "Laying Me Low" on Thursdays results show.  Judges for this season (Season 12) of American Idol are Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj, Randy Jackson and Mariah Carey.
